Experience Precision in HD with the New Thermion 2 LRF XL50

Introducing the latest addition to the Thermion 2 range with the groundbreaking new Thermion 2 LRF XL50 — the first thermal imaging riflescope from Pulsar to feature a 1024×768 HD thermal sensor. Perfect for long-range shooting, this riflescope retains pin-sharp image clarity through its entire 1.75x-14x magnification range, establishing a new benchmark for premium quality, high-definition thermal imaging.

Crystal Clear Thermal Imaging

With its astonishingly sensitive 1024×768, 12µm, <35mK NETD European made Lynred thermal sensor, and powerful 50mm f1.0 fast aperture germanium objective lens with internal focusing mechanism, the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 will offer exceptional thermal imaging capabilities — spotting even the smallest of temperature differences and revealing minute anatomical details at distances reaching up to 2300m. With a thermal sensor this big, the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 is the perfect choice for long-range shooting, retaining its high levels of image clarity all the way through its variable 1.75x-14x magnification range. Plus, its wide 14° field of view and large format sensor allows hunters to explore the observation area in full HD on its native 1.75x magnification, providing a greater understanding of activity within the FOV.

As with previous iterations of the Thermion 2 series, this riflescope offers Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode — a useful feature which displays a small viewing window in the top 10% of the viewfinder, allowing for closer scrutinisation of an object/animal of interest, whilst retaining a full view of the wide FOV, so the hunter ever loses control over the observation area — ultimately allowing them to make more informed decisions in the field.

A huge sensor is nothing without a high quality viewfinder on which to present its image, which is why the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 features a stunning 1024×768 HD AMOLED display to provide a sharp and vibrant representation of the FOV. It even achieves enhanced colour rendering and a high contrast image to provide a clear and smooth picture whilst on-the-move.

Advanced Image Processing

Image detail is enhanced even further through the adjustable sensor sensitivity amplification function, Pulsar’s groundbreaking set of proprietary image processing algorithms, and the ability to make fine adjustments to both brightness and contrast — providing more opportunities for long-range observation in ever-changing weather conditions. The adjustable sensitivity amplification settings work to define an animal’s anatomical features and maintain a clear rendering of objects and backgrounds in the FOV.

Precise Distance Measuring Capabilities

The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 features a built-in precision laser rangefinder. Seamlessly integrated above the optical channel, this LRF achieves accurate distance measurements between a hunter and an observed target, allowing them to make an informed decision before taking a shot. This LRF provides a measuring range of up to 800m with an accuracy of ±1m and can be operated in either single steps or in continuous scanning mode.

Classic Riflescope Design

Retaining the classic aesthetics of a traditional dayscope, the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 will never feel out of place when mounted to a rifle. Plus, this familiar design means this thermal imaging riflescope can be seamlessly mounted on standard 30mm scope rings without the need for specialist tools — reducing the stress of mounting and making it the perfect choice for hunters who need to swap quickly between scopes.

Compatible with Stream Vision Ballistics

The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 is compatible with the new Stream Vision Ballistics app, ensuring hunters can shoot with outstanding precision at any range. The app essentially works as a ballistic calculator in your pocket. Connecting to the riflescope via Bluetooth, Stream Vision Ballistics uses precise algorithms to provide accurate, flexible, and reliable trajectory corrections, and will allow a hunter to create a ballistic profile for their chosen ammunition. Stream Vision Ballistics will create this ammo-specific profile and calculate vertical and horizontal corrections. Find out everything you need to know about Stream Vision Ballistics below:
