The GF20-35mmF4 R WR’s optical construction is made up of 14 elements in 10 groups, including 1 aspherical element and 3 ED (extra-low dispersion) elements, providing effective control of distortion and chromatic aberration — resulting in high-resolution image-making with up to 100MP of edge-to-edge sharpness at all focal lengths and aperture settings. Nano GI coating technology on the front lens element further enhances the optical quality, cutting down reflected light, minimising ghosting and flare, and boosting sharpness, colour, and detail.

Breathing is kept to an absolute minimum, which means the GF20-35mmF4 R WR can capture multiple frames from the same scene at different focusing points which can then be effortlessly combined in post-production to achieve exceptional sharpness.
