Description
The Fujifilm XF56mmF1.2 R WR has been designed to produce stunning photos and videos through an advanced optical construction which incorporates a focusing group made up of aspherical and extra-low dispersion (ED) elements. This construction offers high-resolution images with minimal chromatic and comatic aberrations. It also reduces the curvature of the image plane when shooting at close range, reducing the close focusing distance from 70cm to an impressive 50cm, without affecting the quality of your image — regardless of the shorter distance between subject and lens.
When the XF56mmF1.2 R WR is used wide open, it will achieve exceptional levels of image clarity and detail with smooth, professional-looking bokeh in areas with a shallow depth-of-field. Busy backgrounds are presenting with an aesthetically pleasing blur, melting away from the subject or subjects of your photography to create an isolating effect that is almost three-dimensional.
This lens is the first in Fujifilm’s X Mount series to feature 11 diaphragm blades to provide an aperture that is crystal-clear and almost perfectly circular, even at F4 or F5.6 — producing a clean edge along a highlight, with minimal aberrations and distractions.
Its shorter close focusing distance and its updated optical construction makes this mid-telephoto lens the perfect choice for still-life and street photography, as well as being the prime option for portraiture and wedding photography.
With nine weatherproof rubber seals protecting this lens from dust and moisture ingress, photographers can continue shooting with confidence in adverse weather conditions or in extreme temperatures reaching down to -10°C. The fluorine-coated front element repels water, fingerprints, and dust to make cleaning the lens between photographs easier than ever.
