Description

Powerful Thermal Optics

The Ranger R650 features a sensitive 640×512, 12µm, <30mK NETD thermal sensor and a powerful 50mm f1.0 objective lens, providing users with an incredible 2600m detection range by day and in darkness. Combining the thermal sensor and objective lens with Pixfra’s advanced image processing algorithms ensures crisp and clear thermal imagery is presented onto a 1440×1080 display. This display offers a picture that is consistently smooth and well-defined. Observation capabilities are further improved through a 8.7°x7.0° field of view and a 3.3× native magnification, with an 8x digital zoom capable of achieving a maximum 26.4x magnification in 1x, 2x, 4x & 8x steps.

Adjustable Dioptre

Featuring an adjustable dioptre, the Ranger R650 will always deliver a picture that remains exceptionally clear. This control allows the device to be set to match the eyesight of different users in order to provide a much more comfortable and fatigue-free viewing experience.

Stadiametric Rangefinder

This thermal imaging monocular includes built-in stadiametric range finding capabilities, allowing the user to gauge accurate distance measurements between themselves and an observed object. Marking the top and bottom of the observed object will allow the Ranger R650 to automatically ascertain the distance between object and user, allowing them to make well-informed decisions whilst out in the field.

6.5 Hour Battery Life

The Ranger R650’s built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery will reliably offer an operation time of up to 6.5 hours (depending on temperature) for extended periods of effective observation before a recharge is needed. The device can even be used with an external power supply to extend the operation time even further.

Colour Palettes

This thermal imaging monocular offers a selection of six different colour palettes: Black Hot, White Hot, Iron Red, Sepia, Green Hot, and Alarm. Each colour palette is intended to make thermal observation easier in ever-changing conditions, and are designed to enhance the viewing experience and allow the user to adapt accordingly.

Built-In Video Recorder

Capturing every moment during observation is made possible through the built-in still image and video recording capabilities. Videos and pictures can be stored on a MicroSD card with a capacity of up to 256GB.

Built-In Wi-Fi

A built-in Wi-Fi module allows this monocular to connect to the Pixfra App (see the APP tab above), meaning users can view what’s observed through the Ranger R650’s lens directly on their connected smartphone. What’s more, this device allows for multiple phones to be connected simultaneously, allowing for group observation over several smart devices.

Laser Pointer

An integrated laser pointer is included, allowing the user to pinpoint specific objects to team members when out in the field in groups. To protect the eyes, this laser pointer will automatically disable after 10 seconds of use.

Lightweight & Durable

Exceptionally lightweight at less than 495g, the Ranger R650 is more than capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions thanks to its IP67 rating. This rating protects the device from dust and water ingress, and a 2m drop test also ensures it is more than capable of resisting any bumps or knocks that may occur during observation or transportation. The device will even work unaffected in extreme temperature, providing excellent thermal imaging capabilities in -20℃ – +50℃.

Taking Thermal & Night Vision Outside of the UK.

Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.

Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.

Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
