Description

Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor

The 640×480, 17 µm NETD <25 mK thermal sensor with 50Hz refresh rate enables reliable identification of targets and their anatomical features, minute details of the surrounding landscape, and the ability to capture minimal temperature differences in heavy rain, fog, and conditions where thermal contrast is low.

Fast Aperture 50mm f1.0 Germanium Lens

Combining the highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor with a long-distance 50mm f1.0 focusable objective lens achieves the ultimate detection efficiency, providing an impressive detection range of up to 1800m of a standard 1.8m tall object or animal in complete darkness. Achieves excellent quality, detailed, and high-contrast informative imagery, regardless of fog, rain, or instances where thermal contrast within the observation area is low.

Variable Magnification

With a variable magnification of 2.5x – 20x, and a digital zoom of up to 8x, these thermal binoculars will provide improved focus and object recognition at significant distances. The digital zoom is adjustable either gradually in 2x step, or continuously to optimise the 12.4°x9.3° field of view for different situations.

Precision Laser Rangefinder

Understanding the distance between user and target is an essential factor when it comes to decision-making in the field, which is why the Merger LRF XP50 features a seamlessly integrated precision laser rangefinder. This LRF offers a generous measuring distance of up to 1000m ± 1m in single measurements or continuous scanning modes for fast, error-free assessments within the observation area.

HD AMOLED Display

Crisp, richly contrasted thermal imagery with a vividly coloured field of view is presented on a 1024×768 HD AMOLED display, ensuring a fluid, flawlessly high-resolution image.

Adjustable Interpupillary Distance

With an adjustable interpupillary distance of 56-71mm, the design of the Merger LRF XP50 takes into consideration the reduction of eye strain experienced when receiving visual information through two separate channels simultaneously, thus offering a better performance in low contrast scenarios than would be experienced whilst using a single-channel thermal monocular.

Classic Design

Designed and built with a pair of classic daytime binoculars in mind, these binoculars provide a stunning thermal image whilst retaining a sense familiarity when in hand. Ergonomically designed and with a small form factor, these thermal binoculars fit comfortably in the hand, and the positioning of six function buttons in a comfortably accessible arrangement allows the user to control these binocular with ease and without causing any unnecessary strain.

Advanced Image Processing Algorithms

Pulsar’s proprietary Image Detail Boost technology significantly increases the sharpness of the visual target, better identifying contours and displaying small object details such as branches, leaves, wires, and even an animal’s extremities in environments with small temperature differences.

8 Colour Palettes

Effective observation of the field of view can be achieved thanks to the Merger’s choice of eight colour palettes. These palettes will allow the user to optimise the thermal binoculars for specific scenarios and adapt to changing conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are perfect for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine will increase recognition and identification capabilities; and Sepia, Red Monochrome, and Violet are best for long, night-time observation.

Calibration Modes

Three calibration (Manual, Semi-Automatic, and Automatic) equalise the microbolometer temperature background — eliminating defects and ensuring a consistent image quality.

10 Hours of Battery Life

Powered by a dual battery system using two rechargeable batteries (one built-in 4 Ah battery and one replaceable 3.2 Ah battery), this device will provide up to 10 hours of power on a single charge (depending on temperature). The embossed design found on the replaceable battery’s body allows for quick and easy determination of accurate battery positioning, making replacement of a flat battery a breeze, even in total darkness.

Display Off Mode & Instant Start-Up

Display Off mode will temporarily stop observation, reducing screen brightness to an absolute minimum, but all other systems within the device remain operational. Restarting the device with instant-start-up is achievable in just 3 seconds.

Highly Durable Design

A high-quality magnesium alloy housing allows for constant use in harsh conditions. Being simultaneously light and strong, the Merger LRF XP50 remains comfortable to use whilst protecting the internal components against shocks, drops, moisture, heat, and cold. This durable housing also acts as a heat sink, effectively dissipating heat produced via internal electronics and increasing the consistency of operation over long periods of observation.

IPX7 Waterproof

The IPX7 waterproof rating adds an extra layer of protection against heavy rainfall and snow. The device will even remain flawlessly operational when immersed in up to 1m of water for up to thirty minutes.

Operating Temperatures

Furthermore, the Merger LRF XP50 has been designed to operate perfectly within a wide range of operating temperatures, with the housing, power unit, optics, and electronics remaining flawlessly operational in temperatures from -25 to +50°C.

Built-In Video Recorder

A built-in still image and video recorder will capture all those must-see, once-in-a-lifetime moments for the user to replay and share with friends and family. With 16GB of internal memory, the Merger LRF XP50 can store hours of videos, or thousands of photos all at the touch of a button. Footage or photos can then be transferred to a computer using the USB-C connection, or via the Stream Vision 2 app’s 16GB of free cloud storage.

Built-In Wi-Fi Module

Features an integrated Wi-Fi module, offering improved connectivity across its 2.4/5 GHz waveband support. The standard 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channel required to connect to a smartphone is complemented by a 5GHz connection to offer better bandwidth, faster data transfer rates, noise immunity, and improved connection stability — providing a more productive, easier operation when connected to a smartphone or tablet.

Stream Vision 2

This built-in Wi-Fi module enables quick connection to Android or iOS smartphones or tablets using the Stream Vision 2 app, offering a wide range of connectivity features, including:

Remote Control — Use a mobile phone as a wireless remote to control and adjust the device’s settings. See all the changes made on your smartphone or tablet screen in real-time. Recording footage or capturing still images can also be achieved using a mobile phone.

Browse & Share — Browse through all photos and videos captured on the device. It is even possible to download and share these files with friends.

Firmware Updates — Download all the latest features and stay up to date by remotely updating the device using Stream Vision’s firmware update abilities, ensuring the Merger LRF XP50 is always running on the most current firmware.
