Greater Versatility and Ballistic Options for Thermion 2 LRF Riflescopes with Firmware Update 3.3

With the release of firmware update 3.3, Pulsar brings optional distance input to LRF equipped Thermion 2 riflescopes. Just like the previously released V3.3 update for non-LRF models, this firmware update enables more precise shooting whilst providing them with a wider choice of options.

How to Achieve Ballistic Calculations

Using the ballistic calculation functionality is easy, just update your riflescope to the latest firmware version via Stream Vision 2 and follow these steps:

1. Connect to the Stream Vision Ballistics app via Bluetooth.
2. Once this is done, you will be able to create up to ten ballistic profiles in-app, uploading them directly to your riflescope when complete.
3. Once these profiles have been uploaded, you are free to disconnect from Bluetooth; the ballistic calculations will still be available within your riflescope without needing to remain connected.
4. If you are running your riflescope on firmware version 3.3, two options will now be available to you:
   – Use the built-in laser rangefinder to measure the distance.
   – Manually input the distance to the target by moving through to the device’s long menu, selecting your desired profile, switching through to the short menu, and inputting the preferred distance to the target.
5. A suggested point of aim will now be visible on your riflescope’s display.

Comfort & Usability Enhancements

Version 3.3 also focuses on user comfort with brightness control. This feature allows you to dim the brightness of all display elements, reducing the likelihood of eye fatigue and minimising the risk of an animal spotting you when you need to remain covert — a huge advantage whilst shooting.
