Small Footprint, Huge Performance

Introducing the newest addition to Pulsar’s Merger series, the Merger LRF XP35. One of the smallest iterations in the range, these thermal imaging binoculars pack a hell of a punch, so don’t think their size is in any way indicative of their performance. Take a look through our quick breakdown of features to get a feel for what they can offer or click here to go straight to the Merger LRF XP35 product page.

Thermal Sensor / Objective Lens

The Merger LRF XP35’s unprecedented thermal performance stems from the coupling of an extremely sensitive 640×480, 17µm, <25 mK NETD thermal sensor and an incredibly powerful 35mm f1.0 germanium objective lens, achieving a detection range of up to 1350m in daylight and total darkness. Its <25 mK NETD thermal sensitivity ensures even the smallest heat signature is revealed in great detail, effortlessly highlighting an animal’s important anatomical features.

Widest Field of View in the Merger Series

At an astonishing 17.8°, the Merger LRF XP35 achieves the widest field of view of any device in Pulsar’s range of thermal imaging binoculars. This wide FOV allows users to detect heat signatures within a wider observation area, gathering greater levels of information with ease and enabling effortless inspection of objects of interest without losing control over the observation area. Combine this wide field of view with the Merger LRF XP35’s excellent image detail on its 2.0x base magnification and you’ve got improved comfort and outstanding scene perception.

Three  Sensitivity Levels

3 levels of sensitivity amplification and new filtration algorithms with fine brightness and contrast adjustments provide excellent opportunities for long-range observation in varying environmental conditions.

Stunning AMOLED Display

A power saving 1024×768 AMOLED display presents a flawless HD thermal image with impeccable detail, with a richly contrasted and vividly coloured field of view.

Built-in Precision Laser Rangefinder

A built-in precision laser rangefinder is seamlessly integrated into the Merger LRF XP35, providing accurate distance measurements at just the press of a button. This laser rangefinder will achieve these precise measurements at a range of up to 1000m with an accuracy of ±1 m, in single steps or in continuous scanning mode — providing users with invaluable data and allowing them to make informed decisions in the field.

Eight Colour Palettes

With eight colour palettes available, the Merger LRF XP35 offers effective observation of the field of view, optimising the binoculars for specific scenarios and effortlessly adapting in changing conditions.

  • White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are perfect for object detection.
  • Rainbow and Ultramarine will increase recognition and identification capabilities.
  • Sepia, Red Monochrome, and Violet are best for long, night-time observation.

9 Hours Battery Life

Up to 9 hours of battery life allows users to keep their observations going through the day and into the night. Uses a dual battery system, which uses one built-in rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4 Ah and one replaceable rechargeable battery with a capacity of 3.2 Ah.

Power Saving Proximity Sensor

And this battery life can be preserved thanks to the addition of a proximity sensor, which automatically switches the eyepieces into standby mode via the Display Off feature once the binoculars are taken away from the eyes. This feature also reduces the occurrence of light bleed.

Lightweight, Rugged, and Durable Design

With so much technology achieving such a powerful performance, you’d be forgiven for expecting the Merger LRF XP35 to be heavy and cumbersome, but no… These intuitive thermal imaging binoculars are so compact and lightweight as to remain comfortable in the hand over long periods of observation, stowing away nicely in a pocket or pack when not in use.

But their size should be no indication of their robustness. The Merger LRF XP35, like every other iteration in the Merger series, features a rugged magnesium alloy construction which boasts an IPX7 rating. This means the device is protected against both adverse conditions (including heavy rain, fog, and precipitation), and the everyday bumps and knocks that occur in the field. This bodyshell even acts as a heatsink, dissipating the heat generated by the internal electronics and ensuring a consistently smooth operation.

Built-in Video Recorder

Built-in video recording and still image capture will ensure every memorable moment is retained for playback. Videos and images are stored on the device’s generous 16GB internal memory, or straight to the cloud via Stream Vision 2. Videos are recorded with audio.

Stream Vision 2 Compatible

Stream Vision 2 connectivity opens up a wide range of digital functionalities designed to improve your observation experience even further. These include remote control of digital functions, remote firmware updates, image & video gallery, and much more.
